Our collection of Franconian literature and literature about Franconia, its culture and history is more extensive than any other academic library.

The Lower Franconian Bibliography (Unterfränkische Bibliographie) is compiled here as a regional bibliography for the Bavarian administrative district of Lower Franconia, and is now part of the Bavarian Bibliography (Bayerische Bibliographie).

The collection focuses on the region of Lower Franconia, but also contains literature on Middle and Upper Franconia, Henneberg Franconia, Hohenlohe, Württemberg Franconia and Baden Franconia.
