The most important databases for geography and geology are GeoRef and GEOBASE.
GEOBASE: A literary database with abstracts for geosciences, geomechanics, anthropogeography, ecology and oceanography; evaluation of approx. 2000 journals, monographs and reports, altogether over 3 million entries. The database correspondents to the geographical abstracts, geological abstracts, ecological abstracts, international development abstracts, geomechanics abstracts and the oceanographic literature review.
