Apprenticeships and Vacancies
Interested in dual vocational training in the library? Why not apply? The training lasts three years. You will complete your practical training with us and attend the Municipal Vocational College for Media Professions (Städtische Berufsschule für Medienberufe) in Munich. Students on the Library and Information Management degree programme at the Bavarian University for the Civil Service (Hochschule für den öffentlichen Dienst in Bayern) can complete their two practical modules in our library. The degree programme lasts three years. You will spend four semesters studying at the university in Munich and two practical semesters at an academic library in Bavaria.

Completed a degree programme and interested in working as a librarian? Why not apply for a trainee position? The training lasts two years. After a two-week introductory course in Munich, you will begin a year of training with an academic library such as ours. In the second year, you will complete the theoretical part of your training at the Bavarian Library Academy (Bibliotheksakademie Bayern).
